Corporate Finance Manager

Posted by Allen Lane.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to lead a team and support senior management at a NHS organisation while it goes through a busy spell.

Working closely with the Head of Financial Planning, this is an opportunity to play an important role in providing high level strategic advice and support to senior managers across the organisation. This post leads the financial planning team and is responsible for the co-ordination, planning and delivery of the monthly management accounts process which supports the planning, budgeting and forecasting for the organisation. A key part of the role will be to manage, motivate, and nurture the team of six finance analysts, each with different levels of experience. In addition to the day-to-day work, there will also be the opportunity to make processes smoother and more effective, which will aid collaborative working towards a common goal.

You should be a qualified accountant, or equivalent, with substantial relevant experience of working within a business facing finance department. Most crucially, you should be able to demonstrate the ability to manage and develop a team and help them to deliver improved processes which support the business. Ideally, you will have experience of working within a supply chain business, but a firsthand understanding of the complexities facing the public sector will also be very helpful. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships will be important.

For someone who enjoys managing and developing finance teams, finding improvements and gaining exposure across an organisation, this role should be a very rewarding opportunity. The post will operate on a hybid working arrangement, although some time spent in the office in South Yorkshire will be essential.
