Inizio Engage have the pleasure of recruiting a Principle Quality Assurance Officer for one of the fastest growing privately owned businesses in the UK involved in the development, manufacture and testing of pharmaceutical and biotechnology products and medical devices.

This role is critical in ensuring that the facility operates smoothly, meets regulatory standards, and that the quality of materials used is consistently maintained. The role holder will need to balance technical knowledge with effective people management to lead the Quality Assurance Team successfully.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:

  • Provide effective line management for Quality Inspectors and Quality Assurance Supervisor.

  • Ensure staff development and training are completed to enhance team capability.

  • Material Specifications:

  • Lead the development and approval of material specifications.

  • Collaborate with manufacturing and Quality Control teams to finalize specifications.

  • Facility Management:

  • Oversee the Building E facility to maintain compliance with quality and safety standards.

  • Ensure all areas and processes are well-maintained.

  • Quality Control:

  • Update QC cards, particularly for Nova licensed materials, and perform technical and quality checks.

  • Engage proactively with manufacturing teams to communicate materials demands and status.

  • Supplier Notifications:

  • Review and manage the impacts of supplier notifications of changes.

  • Inspection Coordination:

  • Coordinate the inspection of raw materials and components across Buildings C, D, and E.

  • Action Management:

  • Ensure effective management of quality and safety actions within the team.

Key Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality assurance processes, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and regulatory compliance.
  • Excellent communication skills to foster collaboration between teams.
  • Ability to analyze and manage changes from suppliers effectively.
  • Experience in coordinating quality inspection processes.
