Our reputable Health Aid client are currently looking for someone to join their business after opening a brand new site covering the South Wales Region! This is a great position for someone looking for career progression, with experience of installing/servicing home adaptation units.
Main Responsibilities of the Stairlift Engineer
- Meet with Occupational Therapists to assess viability of works requested.
- Assess and carry out stairlift adaptations, in customer homes as per occupational therapy assessment.
- Offer solutions if stairlift option is not feasible and liaise directly with Occupational Therapists.
- Prepare drawings for OT approval.
- Prepare Installation of adaptation equipment within housing association properties to client requirements/specifications.
- To survey properties for install of new Stairlift, Overhead Hoists, for DFG Local Authorities and private customers quoting as per guidelines.
- To install equipment as per training and manufactures guidelines.
- Complete LOLER certification for installs.
- In accordance with LOLER regulations complete 6 monthly and annual servicing to manufactures specification
- Provide LOLER testing for South Wales Area.
- To assess and advise occupational therapists
- Work as part of a team to provide 24/7 365 days cover for breakdowns and out of hours calls within South Wales.
Experience and Skills required
- Minimum 3 years' experience in similar role
- Experience of installing Stairlifts / Through Floor Lifts / Adaptations in client / customer properties
- In depth Knowledge of LOLER regulations
- Knowledge of DFG Services
- Experience of working within DFG Services
