Interim Finance Project - LER

Our client, a global conglomerate, is looking for the support of an experienced, qualified finance professional to support a legal entity rationalisation project. This role will serve as the crucial interface between the consulting firm leading the rationalisation efforts and our client's internal organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the consulting firm and the client's internal teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
  • Coordinate the activities and timelines of the legal entity rationalisation project, ensuring all milestones are met.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support the rationalisation process, including assessing different entities.
  • Work with the Companies on new acquisitions to support rationalisation of acquired entities.
  • Evaluation and production of financial information for the Statutory financial statements of affected entities under the relevant GAAP
  • Prepare the accounting entries to support the step plans for closures of the legal entities.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, project updates, and documentation required for the rationalisation process.
  • Ensure all activities comply with relevant UK regulatory and legal requirements or local laws and regulations with support from the third-party consulting firm.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operational teams, to gather necessary information and ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to the rationalisation process and work with the consulting firm and internal teams to mitigate them.
  • Present progress updates, risks and issues and financial tracking to the internal stakeholders
  • Assist in the implementation of changes, including mergers, closures, or restructuring of legal entities.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent.
  • Experience in corporate restructuring, legal entity management, or a similar area.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, consolidation, and financial reporting. Strong understanding of UK GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK regulatory requirements related to legal entity structures and corporate governance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
  • Strong ability to build relationships and work collaboratively with both internal teams and external consultants.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strategic mindset.
