Responsive Personnel are pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity for an Experienced Seamstress / Sewing Machinist to join a national company with a reputation for both quality and service. This is a role where no two days are never the same. You will work closely with the Head of Department to ensure all jobs and variety of projects despatch on time and meet SLA's. You will be working to ensure 100% accuracy is always maintained.
About the Job:
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Ensuring that sewing machines and all other equipment are kept clean & in good working order.
- Altering or repairing customers garments and other articles, which includes hemming, mending, lengthening, as well as taking in and letting out seams.
- Constructing garments and other articles and recording the alternations required.
- Using irons and pressing machines to erase the crease on the garments and other articles.
- Hours are Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
About You
You will need to display knowledge & experience:
- Previous experience as a seamstress or tailoring
- Ability to operate in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work with a variety of fabrics and materials, including delicate and high-end textiles.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in craftsmanship.
- Safety and legal compliance are a must. We welcome applications from people with a good safety record.
