Overview:

Hire Stone Recruitment Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Psychologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to supporting the educational development and psychological well-being of children and young people. Working Schedule is estimated around 2 days a week and 8 days a month.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to identify learning, emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs of children and young adults.
  • To support the statutory responsibilities of the LA in relation to Special Educational Needs.
  • Contribute to team planning arrangements with schools and collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate.
  • Undertake classroom observation, learning environment assessment and consult to SENCOs, teachers, parents and other professionals bodies where appropriate.
  • Research and Analysis: Stay abreast of current research and psychological theories related to education, integrating evidence-based practices into interventions and recommendations.
  • Individualized Support: Offer counseling, therapy, and support to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, stress, learning difficulties, and behavioral concerns.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of assessments, interventions, and progress, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
  • Intervention Planning: Develop and implement tailored intervention plans and strategies to address educational and psychological challenges, collaborating closely with educators, parents, and other professionals.

Requirements:

  • Post Graduate qualification (MSc and above) in Educational Psychology or Clinical Psychology with a focus on education.
  • Chartered or eligible for chartered status with the British Psychological Society.
  • Full accreditation and registration as an Educational Psychologist with HSPC and otherthe relevant governing body.
  • Proven experience (1 year minimum) working as an Educational Psychologist within educational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, learning theories, and psychological assessment tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with children, parents, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
