Secondary Cover Supervisor - Southampton

About the Role
You will be responsible for leading lessons and providing cover in the absence of class teachers across various subjects at a school in Southampton, with an immediate start. Training will be provided by both the school and Engage Education, ensuring you are well-prepared and supported. You'll be part of a dynamic and collaborative team. The role involves minimal planning and marking. This school enjoys strong support from its local community and is dedicated to helping all students achieve their academic and personal potential. The school is easily accessible by public transport.
About You
- Experience working with students aged 11-16
- Flexibility to teach across different subjects
- Confidence in managing classroom behaviour
- Ability to build rapport with students
- A fun yet firm presence
- An interest in education
We welcome applications from candidates with any level of experience. While previous experience working with students with challenging behaviour is an advantage, it is not essential. This opportunity is ideal for aspiring teachers or experienced cover supervisors seeking a new role. It may also suit individuals with experience as a Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor. Please note that a formal teaching qualification is not required to apply for this role.
