Empoweing Leraning are seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join our team at a highly reputable, Outstanding rated Ofsted Secondary School based within the Wandsworth area.

The chosen candidate will be required to work full time, long term on a temporary basis, Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3:30pm. They will start on Monday 2nd September 2024. The daily rate will be discussed upon registration and is dependent on your teaching, scale, experience, and ability; however, will range between £140 - £220 per day.

To confirm, this role is open to both ECTS and experienced teachers

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • You have a QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • You can teach Science up to, and including, KS4.
  • You have knowledge of, and are up to date, with the current curriculum.
  • You possess a current and valid DBS on the update service.
  • You are creative, proactive, and engaging within the classroom.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Marking and planning will be included, as well as setting additional work if required.
  • Ensuring the working environment is calm and constructive.
  • Adhering to all schools and safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Assessing, recording, and reporting on pupil development and attainment
