Commercial Credit Controller
- Hourly Rate: £18 - £22 (DOE)
- Location: Central Guildford
- Job Type: Temporary (3 months, possibly longer)
- Start Date: Immediate
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Credit Controller for an immediate start in a dynamic role based in central Guildford. This temporary assignment is expected to last around 3 months, with the potential to extend. The role offers hybrid working options after an initial settling-in period and comes with easy train station access / or on-site parking arrangements.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Conduct strong business-to-business debt collection and credit control activities.
- Maintain accurate records of all chasing activity.
- Ensure that client debts are paid in a timely manner.
- Meet cash & debtor day targets set by the company.
- Handle disputed bills and negotiate to bring payment within the agreed terms.
- Provide accurate advice on billing queries.
- Respond promptly and completely to both client and internal enquiries.
- Propose write-off of irrecoverable receivables.
- Undertake account reconciliations as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in business-to-business debt collection and credit control.
- Ability to start immediately or within a maximum of one week's notice.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Agresso systems is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
