Job Title: Material Handling Operator
Duration: 3 Months - Possible extension
Pay Rate: £13.40 - £14.00 per hour PAYE
Location: Glasgow
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08.30am - 17.00pm (1 hour lunch break)

Are you a skilled Warehouse Operative with experience in pallets and forklift truck driving? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and thrive on ensuring the smooth operation of warehouse processes? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our client's team in Glasgow!
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for accepting incoming goods and comparing them with the shipping document. You will carefully check for any visible damage and document it as required. Your attention to detail will be crucial in capturing relevant data in the data processing systems to ensure accurate inventory records.
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the correct use of transport equipment, such as hand-guided industrial trucks and forklifts. You will organise the acceptance, storage, commissioning, and removal of goods in the storage area, maintaining regular stock maintenance and inventory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accept incoming goods and compare them with shipping documents.
- Check incoming goods for visible damage and document as required.
- Ensure correct use of transport equipment.
- Capture relevant data in data processing systems.
- Organise the acceptance, storage, commissioning, and removal of goods.
- Conduct regular stock maintenance and inventory.
- Assemble deliveries, reviewing for completeness and accuracy.
- Complete packaging of deliveries according to shipping instructions.
- Add corresponding shipping documents to outgoing goods.
- Complete transports inside and outside the premises using appropriate means of transportation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Forklift truck driving experience, counterbalance.
- Previous Warehouse Operative experience, with knowledge of pallets.
