Responsibilities as Ecology Manager
- Direct the ecology team in delivering environmental services aligned with business goals.
- Establish priorities and effectively distribute resources within the team.
- Apply ecological expertise to successfully execute projects and achieve objectives.
- Supervise ecological planning and serve as an expert witness when required.
- Provide specialised ecological advice to guarantee compliance and project effectiveness.
- Recognise opportunities to enhance ecological service offerings.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Guide, mentor, and cultivate team members to reach targeted results.
- Hold team members accountable for adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Represent projects and the organisation with professionalism in diverse environments.
Ecology Manager Criteria
- BSc/MSc in ecology or similar relevant field (essential)
- Extensive relevant experience (5+ years) (essential)
- Mixture of field and recent consultancy experience
- Extensive BNG knowledge and experience
- Full UK driving licence
