Hotel Maintenance Manager

Join a prestigious seaside hotel as a Hotel Maintenance Manager and play a pivotal role in maintaining the elegance and functionality of their property. This position offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated maintenance team, ensuring the hotel operates smoothly and our high standards are met consistently.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Take full accountability for the entire maintenance operation of the hotel, including 122 bedrooms, multiple dining venues, and a comprehensive health club.
- Maintain the hotel to the highest standards, ensuring all bedrooms, public areas, and back-of-house are in excellent condition.
- Implement and manage preventative maintenance schedules to prolong the lifespan of all equipment and the physical plant.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards across all operations.
- Coordinate and supervise the work of subcontractors, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage maintenance inventory, ensuring necessary supplies are available and cost-effectively managed.
- Regularly inspect and maintain all electrical systems, kitchen equipment, fire safety systems, and the building's interior and exterior.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager, ideally within the hotel industry or similar residential properties.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and fire safety standards.
- Technical proficiency, with qualifications in plumbing or electrical works preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
- Experience managing third-party contractors and negotiating competitive quotes.
- Proficient in basic maintenance tasks with good organizational and planning skills.
- Familiarity with property management systems such as Guestline and health and safety systems like Peninsula.
