Job Overview: As a Roadside Technician, you will be responsible for attending customer appointments relating to vehicle issues. You will have good time management, perform on-site diagnostics, and offer solutions such as a DPF clean to get customers back on the road safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Diagnostics:
    Perform basic diagnostics to identify vehicle issues, such as blocked DPF's, sensor issues, or fuel problems for example.
    Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess vehicle conditions.
  2. Repair and Service:
    Provide minor repairs on-site, including servicing, DPF cleans, sensor replacements, and other minor repairs.
  3. Customer Service
    Communicate confidently and courteously with customers, providing clear explanations of the services being performed.
    Ensure customer satisfaction through professional and friendly service.
  4. Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of services provided, including time of service, parts used, and customer interactions.
    Report recurring issues to management to improve service offerings.
  5. Safety and Compliance:
    Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and customers.
    Maintain equipment and vehicles in good working condition, adhering to company standards.
  6. Continuous Learning:
    Stay informed about the latest automotive technology and roadside assistance techniques.
    Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Automotive technical training or certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in automotive repair, roadside assistance, or related field is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license (Checks will be carried out prior to job offer)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent social and communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
