Role: Sales Co-ordinator

Salary: Competitive, dependant on experience

Location: High Lane, Stockport

Marchington Stone based in High Lane, Stockport are a specialist supplier of construction and landscaping aggregates, to the building and civil engineering industry with over 50 years experience.

As a family-owned business and one of the largest private independent suppliers of construction aggregates in the North West, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and technical support to our customers. We own and operate a gritstone quarry in Derbyshire and produce sand in Cheshire.

Sales Co-ordinator – The Role:

An enthusiastic team player to join our commercial team, effectively managing the sales process from initial enquiry through to order, also providing support to our external sales team. Construction industry experience would be an advantage.

Sales Co-ordinator – Key Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities for the role include:

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of our products and services
  • Dealing with customers, pricing quotations and processing orders
  • Supporting our distribution team and liaising with our transport fleet
  • Demonstrating excellent email and telephone manner
  • Prioritising and multitasking daily duties
  • Understanding and assessing customer needs
  • Representing the company and its core values
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers

Sales Co-ordinator – You:

The successful candidate for the role will:

  • Have a clear understanding of the sales process to sell our full range of products and services
  • Work collaboratively within a team to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner and to a high standard
  • Be able to balance both the needs of the customer and our business requirements
  • Work with customers to provide suitable products
  • Understand and achieve commercial targets and profit margins
  • Have a "can do" attitude and an enthusiastic, outgoing personality
  • Be ambitious to learn new skills and achieve their personal and business KPIs
  • Previous experience using SAP, CRM and Microsoft IT systems

You will also possess:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Numeracy and analytical ability

Training will be provided for our Products, Procedures and IT systems.
