**Role Details - Human Resources Advisor

Our client is seeking a dedicated HR Advisor to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent. This role offers a competitive salary of £40,000 per annum, plus car/car allowance, 33 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme.

What you'll do:

As a Human Resources Advisor, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the smooth operation of our client's HR department. You will represent HR at site meetings, acting as an ambassador for the department across the business. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be utilised as you advise and coach line managers in various areas such as absence management, discipline, grievance handling, reward systems, line management capability enhancement etc. You will also play a key role in supporting change management activities by ensuring effective communication and engagement with employees.

  • Represent the HR department at relevant site meetings where appropriate
  • Be an ambassador for HR across the business and with clients
  • Advise, guide and coach line managers in the areas of absence management, discipline, and grievance
  • Support TUPE activities as and when required
  • Support the initiatives and organisation of the Employee Engagement Survey
  • Provide input and support for policy development as and when required
  • Advise, coach and guide line managers about levels and types of reward, including base and variable pay and incentives
  • Coach line managers in all matters relating to line management capability
  • Develop and deliver HR training modules and other training and development activities in conjunction with the HR Advisors and the Capability team
  • Support change management activities as they occur, ensuring effective employee communication and engagement is maintained

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Human Resources Advisor position brings a wealth of experience from previous HR advisory roles. Your knowledge of current UK employment law is up-to-date and you have a complete understanding of HR processes and procedures. You are a strong planner with excellent time management skills, able to balance priorities in a dynamic environment. Your ability to influence at a senior management level will be crucial in this role. You are IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suites, and your written and verbal communication skills are excellent.

  • Experience within an HR Advisory role ideally gained within a fast-paced industrial / logistics environment
  • Up-to-date working knowledge of current UK employment law, TUPE, and complex employee relations matters
  • Complete understanding of HR processes and procedures
  • Strong planning and time management skills - able to balance priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to influence at a senior management level
  • Able to work on own initiative whilst balancing the need to involve others for maximum effectiveness
  • IT literate with good working knowledge of MS Office and Google Suites
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
