We are currently looking to recruit a Goods In/Goods Out Forklift Driver Warehouse Operative for our client, a leading electrical supplier based in Romford, Essex.
- Hourly Rate: £14.00 PAYE / £17.00 Umbrella
- Location: Romford, Essex
- Working Monday to Thursday 8.30am to 5pm and Friday 8.30am to 2pm
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to manage the crucial flow of products in and out of the warehouse. This role is integral to operations, ensuring that all goods are handled efficiently, accurately, and safely. The ideal candidate will be a team player with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a well-organised workspace.
Day-to-day of the role:

Goods In:
-
Using the company transport portal and Word and Excel to book goods in and out.

Use of a forklift to move goods.

Receive shipments, checking for damage or missing items, and verifying that goods match purchase orders.

Unload goods from delivery vehicles and store them in the correct locations within the warehouse.

Keep accurate records of all incoming goods and update inventory systems.

Goods Out:

Select items from inventory to fulfil customer orders, pack them securely, and prepare them for shipment.

Coordinate the dispatch of goods, ensuring they are correctly labelled and documented.

Inspect outgoing goods to ensure they meet quality standards and are free from defects.

General Duties:

Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the warehouse.

Comply with health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Operate warehouse equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in warehouse operations, including goods in and goods out processes.
- Familiarity with inventory management and quality control practices.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely (forklift and pallet jack experience preferred).
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects.
- A team player with good communication skills.
