Sales Ledger Clerk

My Client is expanding and are seeking a Sales Ledger Clerk to join our Finance Team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a passion for finance to grow and develop within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in maintaining an organised and up-to-date Sales Ledger and ensuring the financial health of our client base.
Day to Day of the role:
- Maintain an organised and up-to-date Sales Ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Set up new customer accounts and maintain precise contact records.
- Take responsibility for the preparation of month-end sales invoices with full reconciliation to the Nominal Ledger.
- Manage credit control, ensuring payment terms are adhered to and report aged debtor status to the Finance Manager monthly.
- Proactively engage with AP Managers to resolve customer invoice discrepancies.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Finance is essential.
- AAT qualification or equivalent is required.
- Experience with Sales Ledger is beneficial.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and manage own responsibilities.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
- Professional communication skills for clear and concise information conveyance via email and phone.
- Willingness to learn and develop personal skills.
- Proficiency in Xero and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
