Are you an experienced Chef looking for an exciting temporary opportunity? Our client is currently seeking a skilled Chef to join their team from August 15th to August 23rd, 2024. This is a full-time position, offering an hourly rate of £13.95.
This short requirement is due to cover the holiday period.
Hours: 7am-14:30pm Monday to Friday NO WEEKENDS!
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with our client's standards and procedures for preparation, production, and presentation.
- Source purchases from our client's nominated suppliers.
- Conduct routine audits to comply with quality assurance standards.
- Maintain excellent levels of service by closely monitoring operations during service periods.
- Provide prompt and efficient meal service, adhering to specified timeframes and quality standards.
- Demonstrate expertise in menu planning, ordering, and stock control.
- Receive and inspect goods upon delivery, ensuring accuracy and quality.
- Ensure proper storage of goods in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Create and implement costed menus for various events.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety, hygiene, and cleanliness regulations.
- Maintain and report on the condition of equipment, ensuring prompt repairs.
- Safeguard company and client property and monies.
- Contribute to the achievement of service level agreements and key performance indicators.
- Drive continuous improvement through promotions and merchandising initiatives.
- Act promptly and appropriately in response to incidents, accidents, or irregularities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Chef, with expertise in various culinary techniques.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and work schedules.
