- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Location: Woodford, IG8
- Duration: 4th November to 21st December
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our team in a bustling secondary school environment. This role is crucial for maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen, ensuring all areas are clean and well-organised.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist with kitchen deliveries, managing the receipt and storage of supplies.
- Responsible for pot washing and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment and utensils are cleaned and stored correctly.
- Assist the kitchen staff with basic food preparation as needed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain a clean working environment at all times.
- Handle heavy lifting tasks associated with kitchen deliveries and cleaning duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Must possess or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS check.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
