Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the work of Support Workers and Waking Night Support Workers, offering guidance and supervision.
- Lead shifts, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are completed effectively.
- Build positive relationships with children, providing emotional and practical support.
- Assist in the training and development of staff, promoting best practices in childcare.
- Support the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of our children.
- Provide reassurance and support to children during the night.
- Maintain thoughtful and meaningful records of the children's journeys.
- Create opportunities for children to make happy memories.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children and young people in a similar setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals.
- Confidence to handle challenging situations with patience and calmness.
- Leadership skills to guide a team towards positive outcomes.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
