Location: Richmond upon thames
Start Date: September 2024 - July 2025 as a minimum.
Role: Full-Time, Monday - Friday

About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join our team in Richmond upon thames. This full-time position involves working with Key Stage 1 and 2 children, supporting those with complex Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities as a Supply SEN Teacher in Richmond upon thames:

  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans for students with diverse SEN needs.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and other professionals to provide holistic support.
  • Monitor and assess students' progress, adapting strategies as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' development and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Full teaching qualifications (QTS).
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with ASC and challenging behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to enhancing the educational experience of SEN students.
  • The ability / willingness to travel across Richmond upon thames to a variety of SEN Schools
