This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about contributing to the educational journey of children and supporting a diverse range of learning needs.

About the Role:

  • Support teaching staff to help all children achieve their full potential in the school and during external activities.
  • Assist with the organization of school trips and events, managing small amounts of cash as needed.
  • Gain insight into the needs of vulnerable groups within the school community.
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate learning activities, ensuring readiness with appropriate resources.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of dynamic learning environments.
  • Encourage and support the use of technology as an educational tool in the classroom.

Support for Teaching Staff:

  • Help prepare for testing and assessments, and support children with additional needs.
  • Keep accurate records and discuss the impact of learning activities with the teaching team.
  • Communicate with parents under the guidance of teaching staff.
  • Assist with classroom management and lead specific educational interventions.
  • Potentially act as a key worker for EYFS, including reporting to parents.
  • Supervise the class during short periods of teacher absence.

  • Experience in supporting teaching and learning within a school setting.
  • A passion for education and child welfare.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively with teaching staff.
