PA to the School Principal

  • Are you an experienced PA who has worked in the Education sector?

Our client are a Co-educational secondary school based in SE London and they are looking for a PA to work closely with their Principal until July 2025, paid on an hourly rate basis.

The main purpose of the role is to provide PA support to the Principal manage the Admissions process and help oversee general office operations. This role s 40 hours per week which enables you to have the majority of the school holidays off.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Diary Management: Handle the Headteacher's diary and confidential information discreetly.
  2. Personnel Files: Set up new personnel files, including recruitment files, and provide data for SLT/Governors.
  3. Induction Support: Responsible for new staff induction packs and support induction programs.
  4. Line Management: Oversee the administration team, including appraisals and performance management.
  5. Correspondence and Reports: Manage correspondence, reports, and other information as requested by the Principal/SLT.
  6. Mail and Prioritisation: Oversee mail processes, prioritise items for the Principal.
  7. Problem Solving: Take responsibility for tasks and decisions from the Principal.
  8. Public Relations: Undertake a PR role within and outside the Academy.
  9. Office Systems: Devise and maintain efficient office systems.
  10. Meeting Support: Attend meetings, document actions, and prepare minutes.
  11. HR Responsibilities: Manage payroll, liaise with HR, produce HR documentation, and oversee recruitment.
  12. Safeguarding and Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with policies.
  13. Other Duties: As directed by the Principal.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of using RomCom - Highly desirable
  • Previous experience of monitoring and managing the Admissions process - Highly desirable

This role is 100% office based and does offer off street parking.

Interviews will be held W/C 19th August 2024 with the role commencing 27th August 2024.
