Senior Project Engineer required for permanent role within a manufacturing company in Clevedon, BS21

  • Up to £58,000 per annum
  • Monday – Friday - Flexible start/finish times
  • Full time or part time applicants considered

About the role

  • Reporting to the Senior Programme Manager
  • Accountable for the delivery of a large sized project; or be accountable for the delivery of multiple medium sized projects / subsystems / technologies.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver end-to-end project milestones and goals.
  • Act as the single point of contact responsible for project schedule, cost, risks, and scope
  • Generate a suitable Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) that enables level 0, 1, 2 and 3 plans to be developed; track progress and provide updates to the programme team and key stakeholders as required.
  • Ensure a suitable responsibility matrix (RACI) has been generated for each project.
  • Develop a RAID log for each project. For all risks ensure a suitable mitigate is in place

The right candidate

  • Educated to Degree level in a suitable Technical/Engineering/Science discipline
  • Qualified in Project or Programme Management (e.g. APM PMQ, Prince2), or equivalent experience
  • Experience of influencing and managing across global teams
  • Significant demonstrable experience of managing complex technical programmes, projects spanning multiple phases/years to time, spec, and cost; have experience in managing projects with software content
  • Able to analyse complex programme requirements and generate a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) as part of high-level programme definition
  • Experience of project planning tools (such as Microsoft Project), processes and methodologies
  • Experience of RAID logs (Risk, Actions, Issues and Decisions)
