Atlassian System Administrator

About the role: Our Client designs the technology that lies at the heart of advanced digital products from mobile, home and enterprise solutions to embedded and emerging applications. Technical leadership is central to delivering this technology within each of Our Client's business groups.As the Atlassian Technical lead you will be a specialist in all things Atlassian related but specifically Jira and Confluence and the associated application ecosystem. You will also have the ability to work with other technical teams at Our Client to help deliver cross platform capabilities for the business. You will be responsible for providing technical direction within the Atlassian Product team to help solve specific problems but also to help shape the strategic direction of the Atlassian Suite of products within Our Client. Ideally you will have had exposure to both Server/Datacentre and cloud versions of Jira and Confluence.Responsibilities: · Provide technical ownership of the Jira and Confluence environments at Our Client· Provide technical consultancy on Jira and Confluence for other teams at Our Client· Provide Our Client specific review and feedback on any Jira or Confluence related technical proposals· Feed into product decisions for Jira and Confluence to help drive the strategic objectives that Our Client has for the platforms· Provide technical feed into developing the product backlog and collaboratively feed into planning sessions with the rest of the product team· Develop good relationship across the organisation, and help your team connect to the right people.· Build a safe, high-trust environment where conflicts can be raised and resolved effectively.· Collaborate with other Technical Leads and teams at Our Client.· Be a hands-on individual who is happy to get involved as necessary to help facilitate deliveryWhat skills, experience and qualifications do you need?· Extensive experience as a Jira and Confluence admin within a large organisation managing Jira and Confluence Data Centre· Extensive experience as Linux System Administrator· Experience of the full Atlassian eco system including the surrounding applications· Good working knowledge of the infrastructure requirements for Jira and Confluence Data Centre· Atlassian certified System, Jira and Confluence Administrator very desirable· Good working knowledge of Jira and Confluence cloud desirable· Experience on writing and debugging bash or python scripts· Experience of being the technical lead within an agile product team very desirable· Experience of feeding into and improving governance processes around the management of Jira and Confluence· Experience of working with and providing technical direction to 3rd party managed service providers· Experience of working with ticketing systems to manage workload with Service Now experience being desirable
