Spot salary (Management Spine 46) £51, 095 pro rata £12,262 equivalent of 1.5 days per week (term time only)

Burton and South Derbyshire College is a dynamic and forward thinking College with an outstanding reputation for the delivery of excellence in technical and vocational education. Due to the retirement of our current Clerk we are seeking an experienced Clerk / Governance Professional to support our board in achieving our future vision.

As Clerk to the Corporation / Governance Professional you will play the critical role in ensuring that our board operates effectively whilst also ensuring we continue to comply with all related articles and requirements in outstanding Governance. Reporting to the Chair of the Corporation you will plan, coordinate and record all board meetings and sub committee's and will play a key role in ensuring our annual cycle of Governance delivers all of the required business for the board and meets all internal and external expectations.

The Post holder will be an experienced Clerk or Governance professional preferably with a background in supporting Governance within a Further Education setting. You will have excellent advisory and organisational skills and will have the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast paced environment dealing with a range of professionals from varied and diverse backgrounds.
