Job Title: Functional Skills Support Teacher
Location: Leicester
Salary: Dependant upon experience
What is the purpose of the role?
We are looking for an experienced Tutor to deliver Functional skills, up to Level 2. Your role will be to inspire learners and deliver teaching session to learners working towards their Functional Skills test helping them to realise their potential as you support, advise and guide them through their training.
You must be passionate about learning and delivering the best training and development. You will be experienced in working with different methods of delivery, groups of various sizes and learners of mixed abilities.
Highlighted Responsibilities:
Managing your own caseload of national learners including delivery expectations, one-to-one support and ensuring an exceptional learning journey for each individual.
Producing content and virtual classroom sessions.
Delivering work-based, individual, and virtual training sessions dependent on the learning style of your caseload.
Ensuring that learners are progressing and achieving on schedule.
Providing rigorous assessment and effective feedback to learners via robust marking of learners work and structured verbal and written feedback, showing what the learner needs to do to improve.
Co-ordinating testing with awarding body.
To be responsible for tracking test results.
To ensure timely completion of Functional Skills tests.
Requirements:
Experience of delivering Functional skills up to Level 2 and ideally Functional Skills reform.
A strong occupational background in training.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organisational skills, including the ability to plan and prioritise own workload to ensure that all learners have at least one monthly visit.
Knowledge of awarding body requirements.
Ability to excel as part of a team.
