Sales & Reservation Specialist

Our Client is a small luxury operator who is at an exciting period of growth and they are looking for a dedicated Sales & Reservation Specialist who thrives on creating unique and unforgettable travel experiences. If you're passionate about travel and exceptional customer service, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to personalised, self-guided driving tours across Scotland, Ireland, and Wales.

What Will I Be Doing?

  • Client Engagement: Manage enquiries via phone, video calls, and email to understand and fulfil client travel desires.
  • Crafting Itineraries: Design bespoke travel plans that highlight hidden gems and off-the-beaten-path destinations, revising itineraries based on client feedback.
  • Reservation Management: Assist clients with bookings, modifications, cancellations, and post-sales administration while maintaining strong supplier relationships.

What Experience Do I Need?

  • Previous experience in tourism working as a travel consultant is essential.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A passion for travel, especially self-driving holidays is desirable.

What Else Do I Need to Know?

This role can either be hybrid in the York area or for the right person with enough experience a fully remote role with frequent visits to the office and for periods of training initially is also a possibility.

The hours are Monday to Friday 9 - 5.30 but there is the possibility you may need to work later a couple of evenings a week with later start times. There may also be some on call work required at a weekend, on a rota basis. There is the possibility of this being a job share for 2 part time people.

The salary is dependent on experience but will include a competitive basic and bonus scheme.

This role requires a willingness to travel annually to deepen destination knowledge and strengthen supplier relationships.

A valid driving license is essential, as visits to remote locations may be necessary.
