This role is an excellent opportunity for a professional with experience in office fit-outs, refurbishments, rebuilds, and commercial and leisure projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in professional practice and a BSc in a construction-related field.
The Assistant Construction Project Manager Role
The Assistant Project Manager will be involved in various aspects of construction project management, including:
- Developing design briefs and specifications.
- Preparing detailed costings for projects.
- Handling planning permission and Building Regulations approvals.
- Coordinating the appointment of design teams and specialist consultants.
- Ensuring full coordination of all contractors involved in projects.
- Managing costs comprehensively throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintaining consistent liaison with clients.
- Overseeing health and safety management, including safety reviews and audits.
- Producing As Built and maintenance manuals.
The Assistant Construction Project Manager
- Has a minimum of 2 years' experience in a professional practice (consultancy, design, or contractor).
- Holds a BSc in Construction Management or a related industry.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Exhibits excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
- Is proactive and capable of working on diverse construction projects.
- Vision of achieving professional chartership (MRICS or MCIOB)
