Yolk Recruitment are working with a leading industrial consultancy searching for a Communication Driver Software Engineer with experience in C++ programming to join their Energy division.
If successful you will deliver Smart Digital Operation solutions, leveraging data analytics, digital twins, machine learning, automation, and the IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things). Your work will help enhance process efficiency, drive towards Net Zero, ensure product compliance, and maintain asset health and performance. To be successful you will need strong experience programming in C++ to build communication drivers.
The role can be mostly remote with monthly visits into the Stone office.
This is what you will be doing:
- Develop communication drivers for industrial control systems using C++.
- Adhere to and follow digital development standards and methodologies.
- Analyse problems to develop fit-for-purpose software solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
The experience you will bring to the team:
- Demonstrable experience developing communication drivers.
- Proficiency in C++ and a strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, V-Model, Waterfall).
- Knowledge of IIoT platforms (ThingWorx, Aveva), analytical tools, digital twins, and machine learning is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
