This fantastic nursery located in the Battle area is looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join their expanding team. The nursery is open between the hours of 8:15 and 5:30, Monday to Friday for 51 weeks of the year. The nursery is looking for qualified staff that hold NQT Level 3 in Childcare and Education or equivalent. The nursery is looking for qualified staff that would like to build their expertise, career and grow within the nursery.

The role is for 24 hours per week, flexible hours between 8:15 and 5:30 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Unfortunately, the days are not flexible for this role as it is part of a job share.
**Key Responsibilities:**The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Plan and deliver a curriculum that is engaging, stimulating, and age-appropriate for children in the nursery.
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed by staff members in the nursery.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, ensuring that they are kept informed about their child's progress and development.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development, ensuring that these records are up-to-date and accessible to parents and carers.

What you'll need to succeed
It is essential that you have NVQ Level 3 Child Care Qualification. You will need to have worked within a nursery/primary/pre-prep environment in the last 2 years, that can provide a reference. You need to have a clean enhanced DBS Check on the update service or if not, the nursery will run an enhanced DBS check for you. You need to be flexible and most importantly, have a fun personality that the children will be able to engage with. It is important that you have a good understanding of children's development and their needs as well as ensuring positive management of children's behaviour.
