We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Bookkeeper with extensive payroll experience to join our client's team on the outskirts of Maidstone, Kent. This role requires a commitment of being full time office based and offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
  • Process payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy in calculations, compliance with regulations, and timely disbursement.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive financial records.
  • Handle tax filings and other related duties as required.
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to improve financial processes and systems.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven bookkeeping experience with a strong focus on payroll processing.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and payroll systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong numerical skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping/accounting or equivalent experience.
