Finance Director

I am recruiting the Finance Director (No. 1 finance position) for a rapidly scaling real estate / property investment Group operating across multiple jurisdictions.

You must be a high performing Finance Director with a background in Real Estate / Investments / fund raising. You will support on all fund raising activity, lead and improve the finance function, whilst operating as a true business partner to the Board and Senior Leadership Team helping to drive business performance and company growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver financial, statutory and regulatory reporting for all entities in the Group.
  • Produce financial and Board reporting, monthly management accounts and the Group consolidation.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Cashflow management, optimising working capital to support the ambitious growth plans of the business
  • Analysis of business performance to help optimise efficiency and profitability across the Group.
  • Supporting fund raising activity with the production and delivery of high quality and innovative financial reporting and analysis.
  • Lead and develop the finance team.
  • Manage all tax compliance matters and key external relationships i.e., bank, audit, tax etc.
  • Own the financial framework, reviewing and improving financial systems, processes and controls to deliver efficiencies, optimise financial control and develop reporting capability.
  • Provide support on property transactions as required.

Your profile:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with extensive financial leadership experience.
  • A track record in real estate deal / fund raising. This experience will have enabled you to develop an excellent working knowledge of how large financial institutions, debt funds and private equity investors lend.
  • Data driven in your approach however you must be a technically strong finance professional (7+ years PQE) with the ability to lead a complex finance function spanning a number of different jurisdictions.
  • Systems orientated you will have a flair for improving processes through the utilisation of automation and new software tools.
  • Commercially astute and able to demonstrate an entrepreneurial streak. Willing to challenge the status quo. Innovative and forward thinking.
  • Strong character / personality with the possession of excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Operating in a mind-set of continuous improvement.

You can be based in London, willing to travel.
