Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the organization's cash flow, banking relationships, liquidity, and financial risk.
- Responsible for managing and processing some day-to-day financial transactions within the organization. This includes tasks related to bank
reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Ensuring that all financial data is accurate, up-to-date, and complies with accounting standards and
internal policies
- Responsible for daily cash management of Company.
- Forecasting currency movement to purchase Forward Contracts.
- Maximise Company cash from Treasury deposits.
- Maintain effective relationship with Banks.
- Responsible for looking after syndicated loan with Japanese banks.
- Maintain documentation for all loan agreements/contracts in compliance with bank covenants and updating bank mandates record.
- Produce weekly and monthly cash flow reports and rolling cash flow forecasts for Senior management.
- Maintain and implement Company Delegation of Authority matrix for banking services
- Oversees Trade Finance transactions (e.g. letters of Credit etc.); forecast facilities available by season.
- Review and check of monthly Payroll.
- Arrange monthly PAYE/NIC payments to HMRC.
- Prepare and return P11Ds, Payment Practices and other HRMC related reports.
- Any ad hoc job required by management.
- The job will be required to back up at least one other role within Finance.
- Preparing quarterly turnover statements and rent calculations for concessions.
- Prepayments and accruals calculations and postings
- Weekly Bank postings and Assistance with French Subsidiaries.
- Ownership of audit queries in relevant areas and supporting on the weekly payment runs.
- Process Improvement and System Management
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years Finance experience, preferably within a multi site retail environment (could be during qualification)
- Excellent computer proficiency with advanced level in Excel to a standard of lookups, macros and manipulation of high volume of data.
- Experience in coordinating monthly reporting
- French or Japanese speaker an advantage
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS standards, internal controls, and best practices in transactional accounting
- Digital Transformation Expertise: Understanding of how to leverage emerging technologies like cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning,
and automation to streamline operations and drive business transformation.
- Detail-Oriented: Exceptional attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness in all aspects of work.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement changes effectively.
