The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Reporting Analyst to join our clients team in Glasgow. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of regulatory balance sheet-based external reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with the Disclosures statistical reporting team, providing support and guidance to ensure timely delivery of reports and troubleshooting any data issues that arise during production.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review regulatory balance sheet-based external reporting.
  • Review commentary and analysis to support reporting processes.
  • Provide oversight of the production process within the Disclosures statistical reporting team, offering support and guidance to ensure adherence to production timetables.
  • Troubleshoot data issues during quarterly production, communicating effectively and escalating to local line management when necessary.
  • Respond to review questions raised on disclosures produced.
  • Present disclosures and analytics to members of Finance Senior Management.
  • Build an understanding of disclosure requirements and company policies.
  • Ensure statistical reporting adheres to the defined governance model and control framework, maintaining consistency with key reporting across the wider team.
  • Maintain written procedures documents, ensuring key controls are in place.

The Candidate

  • Qualified CA/ACA/ACCA
  • Experience in financial/reg reporting.
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, including effective escalation and timely communication.
  • Appreciation of escalation and risk awareness.
  • Ability to challenge issues and processes.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to take responsibility for completing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritize multiple issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
