Description
- Manage and maintain debtor accounts, ensuring timely payments are received.
- Perform credit checks and set appropriate credit limits for customers.
- Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements of accounts to clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve invoice queries.
- Monitor overdue accounts and take appropriate action to recover outstanding debts.
- Provide regular reports on credit control activities to management.
- Assist in improving credit control processes and procedures where needed.
Profile
A successful Credit Controller should have:
- Previous experience in credit control or a similar role within accounting and finance.
- A strong understanding of financial processes and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and internal teams.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and resolving account issues.
