Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support to students in the classroom, ensuring they have access to the curriculum.
- Work closely with teachers to assist in the planning and delivery of lessons.
- Support students with special educational needs (SEN) to help them achieve their learning goals.
- Assist in managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
- Help with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
- Provide one-on-one support for students who require additional help.
- Monitor and report on student progress to the class teacher.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
