THE SENIOR SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER ROLE:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and Linux-based systems for high availability and efficient resource utilization.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning with Ansible and Terraform; maintain CI/CD pipelines using Github and Bitbucket.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of web servers (Apache, Nginx) and develop robust monitoring, alerting, and logging systems.
- Collaborate with development teams for PHP application deployment, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure compliance with FCA regulations.
SENIOR SITE RELIABILITY ENGINEER - ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Kubernetes.
- Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools, including Ansible and Terraform.
- Strong expertise in web server administration, particularly with Apache and Nginx.
- Experience with PHP application deployment and management
Desirable skills include:
- Experience with Microsoft Azure is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of FCA regulations is a plus.
- Software engineering experience is advantageous but not essential.
