Accounting Specialist

Our client is an American Law firm with a head office in New York, plus additional offices in the rest of the USA, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. They have been in London for over 25 years. The London office is ideally suited for Liverpool Street station.

They are now looking to hire a Accounting Analyst. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing all aspects of client monies, including a yearly audit. They will also be responsible for preparing monthly reports, producing statistics returns and general monitoring/oversight of company transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Management and delegation of email enquiries
  • Manage all aspects of client monies including yearly audit
  • Complete daily cashflow
  • Maintain bills list
  • Prepare monthly reports for VAT recoverable and payable and submit quarterly VAT return
  • Prepare and submit various statistics returns
  • Assist with the yearly budget
  • Expense analysis
  • Reporting and entering client receipts
  • Reviewing and posting journals
  • Chrome River expense and invoice approval
  • Monitoring and tracking purchase order allocations in Chrome River
  • Invoice entry and posting outside of Chrome River
  • Vendor uploads
  • Coutts Card invoice processing
  • Preparation of intra company invoices
  • Weekly Amex and reimbursement payments
  • Partner draw/distribution payments
  • Monthly bank reconciliations
  • Assisting and supporting junior members of the team

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of five years' legal accounts experience
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Experience with Aderant and Chrome River
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
  • In depth knowledge of the Solicitors Accounts Rules
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft programs
  • Experience delegating to and supporting junior members of staff desirable
