Job details of the Quantity Surveyor:

  • Salary - £50,000 - £55,000 p/a
  • Monday – Friday 9:00-17:00, 37.5 hours per week
  • Permanent
  • Company pension
  • 20 days holiday plus Bank Holidays

  • Feasibility Studies and Cost Planning
  • Procurement Advice and Assistance
  • Contract Administration
  • Risk and Value Management
  • Cost Control and Reporting
  • Subcontract Management
  • Commercial Awareness and Business Development
  • Regulatory Understanding
  • Quality Assurance and Contro
  • Sustainability
  • Stakeholder Engagement

What are they looking for?

  • Organised planning manner.
  • Good time discipline.
  • Excellent knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts
  • Good clear communicator.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Keep strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Good knowledge and proficiency in computing systems (Microsoft 365/Apple Software)
  • Professionally qualified.
  • In-depth knowledge of the business's main disciplines, including industrial roofing, Solar PV installation and Scaffolding.
  • Construction broad knowledge and experience.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred) QS qualification
  • IOSH qualification - Health & Safety Awareness
  • IT literate, intermediate level in the use of Excel – to include pivot tables and data manipulation

  • Quantity Surveying
  • Commercial Contract awareness
  • Basic technical knowledge

  • Working with the Supply Chains
  • Volume-based processing and analysis
  • Working to define processes and procedures
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships

  • Experience working on national, multi-site contracts
