Responsibilities:
- Conduct preliminary patient examinations to ascertain the patient's condition
- Refer patients to other departments such as osteopathy, radiology, and cardiology
- Receive patients from Paramedics and take over their care
- Share information and updates with family members
- Analyze test results
- Take detailed and accurate notes
- Apply dressings and administer pain relief, antibiotics, and other medications as required
- Complete all necessary discharge paperwork
- Maintain care standards in accident and emergency
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
- Minimum of 6 months experience in an ED department
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to make quick decisions in a high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
