We have an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic school in Bedford, Bedfordshire. This role involves closely collaborating with the school's bursar to ensure the efficient running of financial and administrative operations.

Position Details:

  • Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
  • Start Date: Immediate or as soon as possible

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the school's day-to-day operations.
  • Financial Management: Work directly with the bursar on financial tasks, including budgeting, invoicing, payroll, and expense tracking.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized records, including student data, financial transactions, and school correspondence.
  • Communication: Act as a key point of contact for staff, parents, and external stakeholders, handling inquiries and facilitating effective communication.
  • Compliance: Ensure the school's administrative practices comply with relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Extensive Experience: Significant experience in school administration, particularly in roles involving financial management and collaboration with a bursar or finance officer.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of school financial procedures and systems, with the ability to manage budgets, payroll, and financial records.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Proactive Approach: A self-starter with the ability to work independently and handle a variety of tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • IT Proficiency: Proficiency in using office software, financial systems, and databases commonly used in school administration.
