This mainstream school is currently looking for a driven and ambitious graduate with excellent organisational skills that is dedicated to pursuing a career in education and will become a committed member of the support team. Working as a teaching assistant and interventions tutor providing support to pupils with learning difficulties or those working to a lower ability, you will be given guidance and training during the role in order to equip you with the tools you'll need to provide high levels of support and train as a teacher in the future if you so choose.
Although teaching assistants in the school provide one to one support in a learning support capacity, you will work both in and out of the class coordinating tuition sessions and break out groups, working closely with the higher level Teaching Assistant and line managed by the SENCO you will be executing development plans and providing feedback on progression. After guidance and training you will be expected to assess the progression of individual students and decide upon the implementation of their learning plan.
The successful candidate:
- Must be educated to degree level.
- Have some experience supporting young people in an educational capacity.
- Must be able to commit full-time from September for at least one full academic year.
