Position: SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Chorley
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-time
Daily Rate: £88 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Role Overview:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with severe learning disabilities (SLD) and challenging behaviour.
- Assist in developing and implementing tailored learning plans to meet each student's unique needs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages independence and confidence.
- Support with daily activities and routines, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver holistic education and care.
Requirements:
- Experience working with severe learning disabilities (SLD) and challenging behaviour is essential.
- Must have a valid driving license for potential school trips or outreach work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and patient approach.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
- Passionate about helping children with special educational needs thrive and succeed.
