Event Sales Manager

Our client, a premium Hospitality brand well-known across the UK, is looking for an Event Sales Manager to come join their team. Working within their flagship Leeds branch, you will drive business opportunities for the venue by networking and forging long lasting corporate relations.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, your aim within this role is to raise brand awareness, drive sales, and maintain high service levels with guest experiences to encourage repeat business. The focus of this role is to secure Corporate and Group bookings; we are looking for a natural extrovert able to build strong client relations, you will have a creative approach able to tailor the pitch to individual clients.

Our client offers a fantastic level of autonomy; we are looking for a self-starter who is excited by the opportunity to manage their own time, be truly trusted yet supported to succeed within your role, as well as attend exciting events within the Leeds area. You will be rewarded with a generous salary package; a basic up to £36,000 with uncapped commission earnings (OTE £16,000 pa).

Key Responsibilities of the Event Sales Manager:

This role will be focused on driving revenue for the business, prospecting new clients and maintaining relationships. You will be attending networking events, obtaining bookings, and seeing the booking through to completion.

  • Conducting detailed research of the local business landscape in Leeds to gather lead information.
  • Researching and attending networking events to gain contacts and make yourself known within the business community.
  • Client outreach via networking, social media, telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings. With Leeds City Centre on your doorstep, we encourage proactive field-based outreach.
  • Thinking creatively to produce tailored client proposals, present ideas and understand their needs to produce exciting, bespoke event packages.
  • Secure new business events and work with existing clients to encourage repeat bookings, making us the site of choice for all their event needs, focusing on corporate and group business.
  • Attend client events to ensure guest experience and service delivery is of the highest standard.

What we are looking for in an Event Sales Manager:

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 year's experience within a Sales or Business Development role.
  • Previous experience within a similar hospitality, venue, or events industry is preferred but not essential. Other industries have also seen success for candidates in this role, such as a recruitment sales background.

  • A real self-starter, someone who is driven and results oriented.
  • The ability to self-manage their workload and diary.
  • You will be a confident individual and a capable networker. You would describe yourself as an 'extrovert' who can build rapport with ease.
