Security & Fire Service Engineer (CCTV, Alarms & Access Control)

GBR Recruitment Ltd are working in partnership with a leading Security & Fire Safety company recruiting for experienced Security & Fire Service Engineers (CCTV, Alarms & Access Control) to cover Commercial contracts UK wide.

Salary listed in the basic earning level with this role, with additional earning available on top of the publicised figures with the Bonus payment & Overtime rates (plenty of Overtime available).

This is a great opportunity for a time served Security & Fire Engineering professional to join a modern market leading business, working on varying projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1st line technical support to Commercial clients, addressing and resolving issues efficiently.
  • Successfully diagnose & troubleshoot problems related to fire & security systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs & maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular maintenance & servicing of fire and security systems in accordance with industry standards / legislation.
  • Install system upgrades & modifications on clients premises.
  • Ensure all systems are compliant with current safety regulations & industry standards.
  • Carry out proactive & reactive maintenance requests, plus emergency call-outs
  • Assess & repair faults in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date service records, including job reports, maintenance logs & client communications.

Desired Attributes:

  • Qualified Engineer with Certification in relevant Fire & Security systems.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Fire & Security systems industry
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise access control systems (on premises & cloud systems),
  • Comprehensive understanding of security and/or fire industry products plus additional applications. Proven experience in technical support, maintenance, & reactive service roles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Valid UK driving license (ideally no points).
  • Trade card ECS or equivalent.
