Finance Manager

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager to join our forward-thinking, growing client based in the outskirts of Sevenoaks.

As the new Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing finances for the company including full management accounts.
  • Processing invoices and logging to SAGE and processing of receipts and payments etc.
  • Dispatch of sales/customer invoices
  • Be responsible for ensuring financial controls are maintained and improved as needed
  • Forecast revenues, expenditure, and cash flow to enable business decisions to be taken
  • Manage the P&L
  • Manage and reconcile cash flow and bank
  • Prepare VAT returns
  • Collate information for month-end and year-end returns liaising with the external Accountant
  • Conduct credit control and produce statements of accounts
  • Ensure that all payments are approved fully and correctly
  • Make payments based on agreed payment schedule
  • Instruct the outsourced payroll in relation to any starters, leavers, and payroll changes
  • Liaise with the outsourced pension provider to ensure correct amounts are being paid / contribution changes are instructed, etc.
  • Reflect all transitions completely and accurately in the workflow management system and Sage
  • Multicurrency experience

The Finance Manager must have relevant experience in a similar role, be ready to take on a new challenge and enjoy the fast-paced environment.

You will:

  • Have at least 2 years' experience as a Finance Manager, or similar
  • Be confident and not afraid to take command
  • Have proven organisational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Enjoy working in a demanding and high-pressure environment
  • Have a calm, flexible and approachable attitude and be able to work under pressure
  • Be willing to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Be a proactive individual.
  • Be able to multitask and handle high pressures with finesse.
  • Have excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
