Reed Marketing and Creative are partnered with an organisation in the legal sector who are looking for a Media Relations Manager to implement their media strategy and enhance their firm's presence in the media landscape. This role is pivotal in creating media opportunities, managing content, and maintaining relationships with journalists.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute media strategies in collaboration with legal and marketing teams, crafting compelling press releases and content.
- Proactively identify and create media opportunities, maintaining a database of case studies and managing media relations for group claims.
- Build and nurture relationships with journalists, manage media requests, and provide media training and guidance to in-house teams.
- Monitor media for opportunities and risks and provide in-person support.
- Support marketing communications, draft client communications, and manage the group newsletter.
Key Requirements:
- Passion for working in a business within the legal sector.
- Broad media relations experience with a solid understanding of media law and excellent news sense.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to advise senior staff and handle sensitive subjects.
- Proven track record of managing campaigns, prioritising work, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office, HTML, CMS platforms, and main social media channels.
