We are seeking a dynamic Head of Science to lead our science department at a vibrant secondary school for girls in Haringey. Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Science department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Develop and implement innovative science curricula that engage and inspire students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages scientific inquiry and exploration.
- Organize and oversee science-related events, competitions, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with other departments and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
- Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and current educational practices.
- Proven leadership and management skills within an educational setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
- Commitment to creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
