IT Support Desk Technician Crawley - £25.00ph - £ 937.50pw Ongoing 6 month contract
Office based - 37.5 Hours per week - Hours 08.30 - 17.00
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a Global state of the art company in Crawley as an IT Support Desk Technician.
The Role
Your main responsibility will be responding to inquiries on basic technical issues and providing guidance to resolve their problems. You will need to possess outstanding communication skills, being customer-oriented and prioritise customer satisfaction delivering five star Customer service.
Duties
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone, email, IM or F2F.
- Perform remote troubleshooting utilising diagnostic techniques and relevant questioning methods and determine the best solution.
- Walk the customer through the problem-solving process
- Direct unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel
- Provide accurate information on IT products or services
- Records events and problems and their resolution in the ticketing system
- Follow-up and update customer status information
- Pass on any feedback or suggestion by customers to the appropriate internal team
Skills required
- Customer - orientated & calm with Excellent communication skills ,
- Proven experience as a support desk technician or similar customer support role.
- Tech savvy with working knowledge of office automation products, service desk and desktop support.
- Good understanding of computer systems, and mobile devices.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues with a first contact expected fix rate of 60%.
- If you are also able to speak a second language that would be an advantage but not essential.
